Meet Heide Maki
Registered Nurse & Owner of Sunkissed Med Spa
Heide Maki has an extensive background in healthcare and began her training as a Registered Nurse over 20 years ago. She has worked in a variety of specialties; predominantly caring for the critically ill patient in the ICU setting. Throughout her career as a nurse there was one common theme that continued to arise and that was the health of a patients skin always seemed to correlate with the well being of the patient. And that simple understanding is what drove her to become an Esthetician.
Heide has first hand experience with skin issues, she was diagnosed with Rosacea 10 years ago and after years of taking multiple medications with out relief she decided to seek a different path with a holistic mindset. It was through her research and working with holistic skin therapists her passion grew and she decided to open Sunkissed Med Spa.
Heide Believes in taking a holistic approach to skin health, understanding the value in good nutrition, exercise and a home skin care regimen will all impact and improve our skin health. Our bodies are a temple in which for us to survive let's treat it with the utmost respect and nourish it with love.
Meet Jessica Newalu
Massage Therapist
Jessica has been in the healing world for over 27yrs. She began her career in 1996 after graduating from massage school and soon after became Reiki certified. Jessica’s love of energy work soon manifested into clairvoyant and intuitive gifts as she acquired deep connections with her clients. Her bodywork sessions, life coaching and energetic healings offer transformative results that are long lasting and elevating. She is outgoing, very authentic and the type of person you feel at ease sharing your heart with. Her resilience and quest for elevated living, inner truth and authenticity makes her both a healing force and a priceless confidant. She now offers her services as a licensed massage therapist, esthetician, certified crystal healer, sound healer (crystal bowls, oracle card reader, channeled psychic reader and energy coach.
Rachel Burgess
Massage Therapist
Rachel Burgess is a licensed massage therapist and a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals. She graduated from the Hawaii Healing Arts College in Kailua in 2019. Following her training, she began working at the spa at Turtle Bay resort and also became an independent contractor to better serve the community of north shore.
Rachel strives to listen to each person’s unique needs to create a customized treatment plan. She has experienced the many benefits of massage therapy herself, and she genuinely enjoys assisting people in their wellbeing and feeling their best.
